What a beautiful entry. Thank you for this.

I love different peoples' holiday cookie traditions. Just yesterday I ate the holiday cookies of a friend from Tennessee; she calls them Tennessee Snowflakes. Take 2 Ritz crackers; spread peanut butter between them; and dip the little sandwiches in melted white chocolate. Sounds bizarre, but tastes like what a Butterfinger was meant to be...

We made springerle at christmas, or rather we made it around thanksgiving for christmas. But now my mom doesn't make cookies, and I always forget to make them in time. (they need to sit in a covered box for a month for the flavors to develop properly and for them to get hard and stale for dunking in tea/coffee
