re-employed
So today was my first real day of work at the new job.
I technically started on Monday, but this was the first day I spent in my actual office — Before I’d been off at the Mothership in Cupertino doing new-employee training, and not actually doing anything specific to the job I’d been hired to do.
I spent the day setting up hardware, which was pretty okay. They’ve given me some seriously nice computers (the desktop is a quad-processor 2.5GHz G5 tower with twin 23″ widescreen flat-panel displays, and the laptop is a 2GHz MacBook Pro), and I do kinda enjoy tweaking things.
I’d sure like to know what I’m actually working on, though. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. When I do, I should probably stop mentioning work entirely here.
